Today I have a thought to share with you that I know will help you shift.
Happy July!!!
I hope you had a fulfilling, exciting, connected, fun 4th of July this year. Joal and I had the most magical view of fireworks from our new condo this year; it was AMAZING!
Today I have a thought to share with you that I know will help you shift. It will help you shift in a way to recognize where you are getting in your own way, where you are overthinking, and where you are making things mean something that doesn’t actually mean anything.
Here it is…
What if getting what you truly wanted in life was as simple as asking, answering, and taking action on these 4 questions:
- What do I want?
- How am I going to get it?
- How am I doing?
- How will I adjust?
Then, repeat over and over and over and over…. Okay, you get the idea!
I will leave you with that to ponder, and if you feel called, hit reply and let me know what this brings up for you!

Let today be the day you start telling the truth.
Over the past 6 years, I’ve been working to develop a spiritual relationship of my own understanding. One that feels good to me, that feels aligned with my beliefs, and one that I can develop consistently with faith. I encourage you to do the same!
Our spiritual relationship does not have to look like mine but it should be one that you can deeply feel and rely on to know that you are always supported and guided!
Today, I am sharing from our devotional:
Let today be the day you start telling the truth. Let today be the day you start telling your story. Let today be the day you do something about that thing you can’t go a day without thinking about.
God is asking you to stop dismissing the gifts he’s given you while wishing for someone else’s. To stop hiding your story away believing it disqualifies you from what he has for you. He wants you to lean into the places he’s calling you. And to stand in unqualified awe at the miracle it is that we get to do this with him every single day for the rest of our lives.
Let this be the year you commit to showing up. To telling the truth as best you know how. You never know, it may be your voice that finally gets through to somebody.
Your story is not a mistake.
And the place where your gifts meet your story has the power to change lives. Most of all, yours.
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.” -Proverbs 31:25
My prayer for each of us today:
Renew our minds, lift our spirits, provide us with overflowing creativity, strength, and energy today. Empower each of us to do everything that we are being called to do in this season. And so it is. Amen.
Next month I will be hosting a daily devotional group, if you’d like to join text DEVO to 503-386-2981.
Sending you lots of love,
Carmen

“Nothing has meaning until you place meaning upon it” – ACIM⠀
“Nothing has meaning until you place meaning upon it” – ACIM⠀
⠀
Let’s dig into this idea…⠀
⠀
This is a phrase I use often when I feel like I am out of alignment and allowing my negative thought patterns to run their loop. You know what I mean, you get triggered (usually by something outside of yourself) and then those old tapes start to play…⠀
⠀
Here’s the deal about anything that happens outside of yourself… it only has meaning if YOU place meaning in it! Often, we use past experiences and self-defeating thoughts to make up this meaning, and then that negative “loop spiral” starts…⠀
⠀
So what can you do instead…⠀
⠀
Become self-aware and recognize when your loop spiral comes up and stop for a minute to check-in. ⠀
⠀
Ask yourself what am I making this mean? ⠀
⠀
How can I see this with fresh eyes and let go of the meaning I am placing on this?⠀
⠀
What is this moment making possible for me?⠀
⠀
Use this practice (notice I said practice, I still use this often) to realign yourself and focus back on feeling good anytime your start to get into your loop spiral. ⠀
⠀
NOTICE, PRACTICE, and repeat!!
Lots of love to you this week,
Carmen

Life is a manifestation of what goes on in your mind.
Life is a manifestation of what goes on in your mind….
Each day we set out to be better than we were the day before, yet somehow things seem to stay the same at the end of the day; why is that? It all comes down to our beliefs, and let me tell you they are deep-rooted!
“We think somewhere between 60,000 to 70,000 thoughts in one day.. 90 percent of those thoughts are exactly the same ones we had the day before.” ~ Joe Dispenza
Change happens when we consciously work each day to still our minds, build new thought patterns, and then recognize when old thought patterns are coming in and reframe them. It is a practice, but you can learn to recognize these patterns over time. These patterns are brought on normally by external stimulation, which activates a feeling or emotion, triggering an old thought pattern. Sneaky how that works!
Here are a few ideas to get started:
1. Start your day with a mediation that affirms only good in your life.
2. Set a timer on your phone to remind you to take 4 long deep, relaxing breaths every 2 hours.
3. Consume less. This means absolutely everything: background music while you work, podcasts, TV, and social media.
The goal of all of this- is to feel free finally!
Here’s to thinking high vibe this week,
Carmen
